Carob moth (Amylois/Ectomyelois ceratoniae)pheromone lures are used to attract the male moth to the sticky trap. Regular monitoring via the traps gives an early warning of a Carob moth infestation. The traps also exhibits the density of the insect population to inform successful IPM strategies.
If an infestation is left untreated then there is a risk of significant crop loss.
